Paige West, Claire Tow Professor of Anthropology, and J. C. Salyer, Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in Anthropology, will give papers at the 2018 Interdisciplinary Conference on Urban Floods on April 13, 2018. The conference is hosted by the Initiative on Extreme Weather and Climate at Columbia University.

Prof. West will serve on a panel entitled Climate Inequalities: Lessons from the Field and give a talk called "King Tides and Urban Infrastructures in Papua New Guinea." Prof. Salyer will serve on a panel entitled The Politics of Climate: Marginality and the Public and give a talk called "Situated vulnerability and displaced people: considering the political economic contexts of Urban Flooding."
